The course goal is to provide new dog owners with information about living with a dog:
Getting to know & understanding a dog
Learning theory & training methods
Rules and best practices for dog owners
Buying / adopting a dog
Travelling with a dog
Law regulations
Book your theory course
How: online via Google Meet.
When: every other Thursday at 17:30.
Price: CHF 150 for the course; CHF 35 for the exam.
Duration: 2.5 hours.
Important: the Veterinary office requires dog trainers make sure participants are present on the course. It means that your camera should be on, your face should be visible during the course. In case you’re absent for longer than 10 ongoing minutes (apart from the breaks planned), the course counts as missed.
Exam: has to be booked separately.
How it works:
You book your appointment. When booking, you don’t pay anything yet but you’re asked to save your bank card details.
7 days before the start, full amount will be charged from your saved bank card.
48 hours before the start, you get your access link.
You visit an online course. The video is not recorded.
One day after, you receive self-study materials (not the video of the course) on your email address.
You book your exam.
Once you pass it, I will add this information to your AMICUS account in 10 days. In case you don’t have an AMICUS account yet, I will provide you with a confirmation certificate that you share with your Gemeinde when registering your dog.
Upon request, I can organise this course for you privately (in English, Standard German — Hochdeutsch; or Russian). Write me an email with your wishes and we will discuss the details.
Book your Exam
How: in person, in a cafe next to the Zürich Main Station*.
When: one Tuesday a month at 17:30 and 18:05; one Wednesday a month at 11:30 and 12:05.
Price: CHF 150 for the course; CHF 35 for the exam.
Duration: max. 30 minutes.
Format: test with single & multiple choice questions; sorting questions; matching questions. Test has 25 questions, you have to make 20 right to pass.
Results: passed or not passed (no grades). If you want, I can check your test right on the spot after you’ve finished.
* If you’re planning to schedule private lessons with me, we can do an exam after one of the lessons, right on the spot of our training session. Contact me if you want to use this option.
What’s next: after you have passed, I will add this information to your AMICUS account in 10 working days. If you don’t have an AMICUS account yet, I will issue a certificate on your name, and you will bring it to your Gemeinde when registering the dog.
What if you don’t pass? You can redo the exam as many times as you need; you will have to book another time slot and pay the exam fee again.
