My journey

Jenya Frolova

I had started reading about dogs long before I got Dias, my first dog. I wanted to do everything perfectly and followed all the training advice I could find. After visiting several dog schools and completing a few online courses, Dias was able to give a paw, roll over and boop my hand, but he was also lunging at other dogs and people, and would bite me if I pulled him away in these moments.

For 2 years I’ve been trying to fix him instead of focusing on us as a team. We have made astonishing progress, and this journey and experience have let me to this project. The mission of BOOPCAMP is to help you build harmonious relationships with your dog and become confident in your everyday life.

My experience

In 2021 I started working for Pup Affair (Zürich, Switzerland — currently the place has changed it’s owners and is called Dog Affair). I was involved both in daycare and dog training. I started conducting my first private and group lessons there.

BOOPCAMP was founded in 2023 when I decided to start my own project, focusing on problematic dogs. Difficult dogs are my passion because transformations I see there change people’s lives. I have completed different educational programs specialising on treating problematic behaviors in dogs because these cases don’t need (just) years of experience — they need deep expertise and understanding of learning processes.

As a dog owner, I’ve visited 14 different dog trainers and completed several online training programs. I know how hard it is to find an approach that works and a dog trainer that takes you seriously. I use a variety of methods that I have mastered during my education and through practical experience. Nevertheless, I’m still learning from my colleagues and of course, from Dias, who's been my best mentor so far.
